Thirteen people came out to Camrose area for a winter hike in Happy Valley. Happy Valley is a privately-owned property on the other side of the train trestle from Stoney Creek.
The owner generously maintains the wide trail for anyone to visit.

…including this sabre tooth tiger and the dinosaur above.
It was a beautiful sunny day, and a new experience for almost everyone. The total hike distance was 11 km return.

We started from A98 in the Wanisan Lake area. After a short walk between picturesque beaver ponds, we arrived at the stile over the high ungulate fence. Of course, people “in the know” walk down further and use the elegant gate to get in.
