North Saunders Lake hike

Twelve people came out on a warm, sunny day to hike the trail along Saunders Lake starting at the north end. The total hike distance was 8.5 km.

In the four days since trail maintenance came through, strong winds had blown down a large tree across the path. It took some effort to clear it away.

We saw many ducks on the lake. And on the path we saw many piles of wood chips left by the beavers.

The new stiles we added in June look sturdy and beautiful.

Thank you to everyone who came out, to trail maintenance for their outstanding work on clearing the trail, and to the landowners for their continued permission. You can find more photos on Flickr.
