    This weeks hike will be in St. Albert along both sides of the Sturgeon River. The city trail is well-developed and maintained year-round, so it’s a good choice during March.     Surprisingly, this is a hike we rarely do through the Ministik Bird Sanctuary that continues on past the 'Ball Berg/NCC' section going to an old fire tower.     This hike, 9.8 km round trip, follows the shoreline, giving views of waterbirds and red tailed hawks, with a deer being a bonus.
