Sixteen people came out to hike on a perfect October day. The morning was brisk. The sun peeked out from under the clouds to light up the gentle mist hanging in the river valley. As the day wore on, the blue sky became a perfect backdrop to the golden fields.
This hike has a few hills along the way, but they are all meant to warm you up to the final hill, the Rest and Be Thankful. It’s always worth the effort.
In the valley, not far from the highway, we saw a hawk perched almost at ground level.
Thanks to Elizabeth and her assistants Mary and Lee for leading this hike and to Trail Maintenance for their excellent work maintaining the trail. You can find more photos on Flickr.
