    Note: the Shirley Lake Trail at Elk Island is still closed for maintenance so the hike will be canceled.   • Ministik Bird Sanctuary (A88 to Fire Tower)

  • Ministik Berg & Nature Conservancy Trails

    Meet at Trailhead - We do not provide organized car pooling. However, participants are encouraged to make their own car pooling arrangements.

    The hike is through the Ministik Bird Sanctuary and a bit beyond, much of which is the 'Ball Berg' section that was donated to the Nature Conservancy of Canada by the Ball family.   • Waskehegan Staging to Meadow Shelter (Cooking Lake Provincial Park)

    A great hike as most trails will have wide paths allow the hikers to socialize. There may even be the occasional hawk, some chickadees and hopefully sand cranes.
