Wanisan Lake (A99 to Meadow Shelter) – Tentative

The Wanisan Lake hike incorporates the WTA’s “Wanisan Stopover” and continues on into the Blackfoot Recreation Area. The hike will be about ~10 km along the edge of the lake and into the park starting at “A99” utilizing the WTA trail at Wanisan Lake plus various Blackfoot sections (the Lost Lake & Wanisan) with lunch at Meadow Shelter. After lunch we’ll return via the WTA trail past “Wanisan Stopover” where we exit the part through a different gate back to A99. The pictures from June 30th, 2024.

We will meet at the trail head (south of Blackfoot Recreation Area) at “A99” (the end of on Range Road 204), we should be there at 10:15 a.m. with the hike starting at 10:30.
