Whitemud Park to Hawrelak Park, via Laurier Park (plus the “Silver Skate Festival”) – Tentative

An exciting winter hike through the river valley parks with the added bonus of the annual Silver Skate Festival (snow sculptures & food pavilions).
We’ll meet in the parking lot at Whitemud Park (on Fox Drive, turn north on Keillor Road and turn into the first parking lot). Be there at 10:15 a.m. for a hike start time at 10:30. The pictures from February 15th, 2026.
The “Silver Skate Festival” returns to Hawrelak Park for 2027. The hike will cross the Quesnell Bridge, go along the river through Laurier Park to the Buena Vista / Hawrelak Park Footbridge and on to Hawrelak Park for lunch & checking out the Silver Skate Festival. After lunch we’ll return to Whitemud Park via the trails along the old Keillor Road.
