May 2, the first day of the new maintenance season: weather was perfect, campground end of trail, not so much.
Equipment and materials were hauled in from A63 to the base of RBT hill, overcoming steep inclines, wet, boggy areas, and deadfall blocks. While 4 of the crew added another 30′ to the bog boardwalk, and shingled the bridge, the other 3 scouted through, chainsawing, clipping, and signing; a pretty little section of old trail running through a copse of trees was reinstated. The bogwalk could benefit by extending it another 50-75′.
