Miquelon (A86 to A87)

(Note: changed May 18) This hike was originally going to be through a section known for mushrooms. However a new pond has formed right at the start of the trail, so we are changing the route. We'll start just outside the Miquelon Lake Provincial Park, and head north. Landmarks are Currie Pasture, the Marsh Mitchell Cabin, and a secluded pond with a beaverlodge and lots of birds.  It will be a 10 km round trip. In Edmonton we will meet…

Maintenance: Kopp Lake

Instead we went to Kopp Lake and added a step to the stile at A35, chained, and did some clipping and signing throughout. We hauled in 2 10ft sections to add to the boardwalk 1km in from A35 and extended the bridge at A34. The rest we will finish next week June 14th. We went out on Saturday, but we were not able to start the Pipestone. We are now going out Saturday June 17th as we have rain  coming for Thursday  & Friday just like this past Wednesday's forecast. Grass just does not cut well when wet and equipment is also better run when we drier conditions.
