Coal Lake Wetaskiwin Water Plant (A46) to A47+ (Dam)

The hike is the last section of the trail along Coal Lake, picking up from the routes that we covered on July 2nd (A43 to A45/Kjorlien Corner) & June 11th (A45/Kjorlien Corner to A46). The final part to the dam being rarely done.
We’ll meet at the trail head beside “A46” (old dirt track just north of the Water Treatment Plant on Range Road 231A) at 9:45a.m.. The hike will leave from ‘A46’ at 10:00, going down towards Coal Lake then south towards the dam. Pictures from Southend Coal Lake (July 19th, 2015).

Note: This hike was rescheduled from June 18th, trail maintenance had been done in early June so the grass will be a bit longer than we’d like. With the grass & potential for lots of mosquitoes we would recommend against wearing shorts.
