Wanisan Stopover Hike and Social (Members Only)

The Wanisan Lake Hike and Social celebrates the end of the summer season with a hike and social at the Wanisan Stopover. The hike will be around 6 km along the edge of the lake and into the Blackfoot Recreation Area, following the Yellow route. If there is no snow or ice, we may do a bit of the Blue route.

We provide the chili, cornbread, and marshmallows. There will be a campfire.
- Bring your bowl and utensils and chair.
- Be prepared to assist with carrying in the food. The distance from the parking to the stopover is just over 1 km.
We will meet at the trail head (south of Blackfoot Recreation Area) at “A99” (the end of on Range Road 204), we should be there at 9:45 a.m. with the hike starting at 10:00. Pictures from November 5th, 2023.
