SUMMARY:Bunchberry Meadows/Tucker's Field
DESCRIPTION:The Nature Conservancy of Canada – Bunchberry Meadows site will reopen at the end of October 2025. It is a great area to hike anytime of year but especially nice during the winter. Pictures from February 5th\, 2023. \n\n\n\nWe’ll meet at the trailhead near the Bunchberry Meadows Parking Lot (on Range Road 261 between Township Roads 514 & 511). The route will go throughsome of the trails Bunchberry Meadows Trails and if we have decent weather we’ll extend the hike into Tucker’s Field\, The UofA has a trail description of Bunchberry Meadows & Tucker’s Field\, albeit for skiing rather than hiking. \n\n\n\nIf you are new to WTA hikes\, then you should visit the Guided Hikes webpage for essential information. SUMMARY:Mill Creek Ravine in Mill Woods
DESCRIPTION:We will meet near the Mill Creek Ravine Trailhead at to SE corner 34 Street and 34 Avenue (Sliver Berry Road)\, with parking at the strip mall\, at about 10:15 a.m. The hike will leave promptly at 10:30\, following various routes through the ravine to the ‘Jackie Parker Park Pavilion’ then returning. This hike tends to be icy so having trax/spikes is recommended.
