Stoney Creek (2 Groups – A67 to “B” 7km & 1-way to A69 10km)
July 15 @ 8:45 am - 3:00 pm MDT
The very scenic Stoney Creek hike will start from A67 on Range Road 205/Township Road 461 just east of the bridge on Battle River. We chose this week because this is when the cacti are expected to be in bloom.
We’ll go in 2 groups:
- Regular pace – the group will take the whole trail through the McGee basin and up to the Camrose city limits. We’ll return to the cars via carpooling.
- “Smell the Roses” pace – the group will go as far we can until we stop from lunch and return to the cars.
In Edmonton we will meet at the Century Park ‘Park & Ride’ Section E in the paid lot (it’s free on weekends) and carpool leaving at 9 a.m. Participants may proceed there directly on their own (we’ll get there around 10 a.m.), but please check the website prior to departure in case of a change.
