While not part of the Waskahegan Trail, why not try out the Bunchberry Meadows along trails of old growth forest. This is a new conservation property acquired by Edmonton Area Land Trust and Nature Conservancy. Hike will be about 8km. The pictures from March 3, 2019.
In Edmonton we will meet at the Century Park ‘Park & Ride’ Section I in the paid lot (it’s free on weekends) and carpool leaving at 10:00 a.m. Or you may proceed to the trailhead on ‘Fleming Road’ (Range Road 261), directly on your own for a 10:30 start. Just check the website prior to departure in case of a change.
If you are new to WTA hikes, then you should visit the Guided Hikes webpage for essential information. For further information specific to this hike contact the Hike Leader, or contact the Hike Leader, Carissa W.
The current Government of Alberta COVID-19 public health action plan indicates that all COVID-19 public health measures have been lifted. However, WTA group event attendees are encouraged to assess and manage their personal risk.
