Ministik Berg (see Hike Details)
May 20 @ 8:45 am - 3:00 pm MDT
The hike is through the Ministik Bird Sanctuary and a bit beyond, for a total length round-trip of about 8 km. This is of course a good chance to see birds, including waterfowl, as well as beaver. A small camera with a zoom lens or lightweight binoculars would be handy. The hike will leave from the trail head just past the U of A Ministik Station on Township Road 510 (1km west of Range Road 210) at about 9:40 a.m.. The pictures from Pictures from May 24th, 2015.
In Edmonton we will meet at the Century Park ‘Park & Ride’ (free lot) & carpool (leaving at 9 a.m.). Participants may proceed there directly on their own, but should check the website prior to departure in case of a change (e.g., weather forecast, trail conditions).
If you are new to WTA hikes, then you should visit the Guided Hikes webpage for essential information. For further information specific to this hike, refer to The Waskahegan Trail Guide Book, pages 76-77, or contact the Hike Leader, Gladys V..
