East Battle River (A63)
May 6 @ 8:45 am - 3:00 pm MDT
We typically have this hike in the spring, so note the departure from the Edmonton meeting point with at 9 a.m.
The crocuses will be starting to bloom and a chance to get out on a country trail after a long Alberta winter. The pictures from May 7th, 2017.
Due to the amount of water this year we will be starting the hike from A63 at the end of Range Road 210 (click here for Google map) rather than the Duhamel Campground.
The sections out heading out from the campground and just before Rest & Be Thankful Hill can be boggy this time of year but it is always a great hike. The hike will leave from the Duhamel Campground (‘Ross flats campground’ at Range Road 212C just off Highway 21) at about 10 a.m.
In Edmonton we will meet at the Century Park ‘Park and Ride’ Section D, and carpool (leaving at 9 a.m.). Participants may proceed there directly on their own, but should check the website prior to departure in case of a change (e.g., weather forecast, trail conditions).
